Coach Ed for one more year, with a coach in waiting to be hired.

I like it. Ed gets his swan song, and hopefully we just do better in conference next year and don't have as many injuries. Though I was pushing for it to be Ed's last year out of frustration with the way this season went, I think we have a good core and a lot returning if they all return. I'm hoping Dom gets a medical redshirt and the 3 freshmen starters really develop.

And I think this is a respectful way of Marcus and the administration to do this and give Ed his one more year and bring in someone new. I do think Hendry's kid would be a great choice for coach in waiting. He has learned for three years under O'Connor, who has won a title. He has connections to the program and it'd be a step up for him to take a coach-in-waiting position.

Hold on. You're the "fire Ed NOW" guy. With a week left in the season. You began one post with "Now that it's clear Ed will be gone..." But now that the decision's been made to give him a one-year farewell tour, you're telling us you like it? You're all on board?

Who's famous for flip flops like this? It's on the tip of...wait, I know! You're Tom Shatel, aren't you?

It's a message board. I wanted a change made because I was frustrated with 2 years of no conference tournament. But now that the smoke is cleared at least a change is coming and Ed gets his swan song. I've posted before that I've always liked Ed. Just thought it was time. And was frustrated.

The corn is getting creamed. It’s still early, but 7 seed Ohio St is lighting up nebby like a Christmas tree. 11-0 in the 4th. This is fun to watch. 13 hits (maybe more; it’s hard to keep up) to no hits. Daytrader Park must seem like a haunted house for the cornographers.
And Danon Hughes is really hard to listen to. He makes a dial tone sound exciting.

If they lose their next game, think they're on the wrong side of the bubble?

Another bubble team is out. Miss st just walked off Ole miss with a 2 run hr. Crushed it. That's likely it for ole miss.

Just scoreboard watching. Yes I know there's slim to no chance of getting in, but one site consistently has us in. They updated it again today. Stanford beat Oregon st. yesterday and advanced to the pac 12 championship. They moved up 21 rpi spots with that victory. On other sites, teams right around our rpi continue to be listed as either last 4 in or first 4 out including Cal and Kansas. Kansas' rpi is 72. Ours has been fluctuating between 63 and 65. D1 baseball also posted an article this morning showing how wrong their bubble projections have been the past few years... for example, they showed that of the 3 seeds they predicted last year, 8 of them missed the field. Meaning the committee focused on an entirely different 8 teams. Just interesting to follow.

Another interesting tidbits: the jays have beaten the Patriot League Champ (army), the mountain west regular season champ (air force), and Illinois-Chicago is still unbeaten in the valley tournament. Stanford is unbeaten in the pac 12 tournament.
