St. John's loses to X - giving up 13 runs.
Jays beat Hall.

One win down, two to go.

Nice crowd there tonight (4100) helped the Jays win. Great to see Bluejay fans support baseball too.

They played last night? I could've sworn I read two articles in the OWH that they weren't eligible for post season. Huh.

You must be wrong, 2 articles about Creighton baseball in the OWH? In the same year? Never happened.

I must get a different edition of the OWH than you as I read numerous articles in the OWH on Creighton baseball.

So, is this a medical disagreement?

Seems to me the WH's Jays baseball coverage this season has been solid, especially considering their sports dep't is staffed, by and large, by Daily Nebraskan alumni. And I'm fine with them leading in today's paper with nebraska's horrible, terrible, not very good Friday.

Xavier is becoming our tournament kryptonite, the new Wichita. We're 1-4 against them in the tourney, including title game losses in '14 and '16. And, of course, now, suddenly, somebody will have to beat them twice on Sunday. Where was that rule when an unbeaten Creighton was being sent home after losing in the one and only championship game?

That was the kind of loss last night where a team might dwell on every little thing. For example, Ed sent Brinkman on a failed steal attempt just before Emodi hit one out in the first. Seemed like a low-risk move at the time. But a few minutes later, it didn't. Now St.John's is going to be a real handful today. I don't know if momentum means anything in a tournament like this, but those guys were on an emotional high when they came from behind to win yesterday.

BTW, Big East umpires can't tell home plate from a dinner plate. My guess is, if they had to explain a lot of their strike calls, they'd admit, "well, I didn't actually see it, but it sounded like a strike".
