"Joke of a season?" Big East champions 2 of the last 4 years. Surely the fan base is deeply satisfied!

That's what they say in Lincoln.

Congrats to former Creighton pitching coach Rob Smith, who coached his Ohio Bobcats to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year.

And to former Creighton assistant Dan Heefner, whose Dallas Baptist Patriots with a win today would qualify for their 6th NCAA Tournament in the past 7 seasons.

And to Iowa head coach Rick Heller, who was slated to be hitting coach at Creighton in 2009 before getting the Indiana State head coaching job, for leading the Hawkeyes to the Big Ten title and NCAA Tournament.

And to Xavier manager Scott Googins, whose Musketeers have now won 3 of the 4 BE Tournament titles since realignment. Xavier's baseball team peaks at season's end, just like their basketball team.

That has more to say about the conference strength as whole that we only get one team (tourney champ).

Any chance any of them want to come to Creighton?
