Great atmosphere last night, real snake-pit for visitors.

Holy cow Pitt taking the 2nd set at Penn St. Sure PSU will probably take it 3-1 but nice to see some competitive volleyball against the number 1 team.

Nice second set for the Jays! Who needs Saturday football or basketball?

This 4th set feels a lot like the 2014 NCAA Baylor game. Just a total meltdown :-/

Really struggled the past few weeks with Dimke being hurt and ran into a good team. They had to bring their A game and came up short.

Don't know the sport or the team but not having #9 on the floor at all times seems like a bad coaching decision.

Having her in the back row at any time would be a much worse coaching decision. Volleyball has rotations. It would be like in soccer having your top striker switch places with the goalkeeper for a couple possessions. In volleyball you have front row players, back row players, then six rotation players like Jaali Winters who can do everything.

This is an amazing post. “I don’t know anything about the sport, but let me make an entirely wrong observation and the criticize one of the best coaches in all f college volleyball for actually understanding the game she coaches and the personnel she has. You know, because I can’t help myself.”

Hmmm, seems like a lot of posts I read every time Mac drops a game. (Referring to the posts criticizing coaching personnel decisions)

The difference is that most people understand basketball formations and lineups. Most don't understand volleyball lineups and substitution patterns.

Everyone on here knows the difference between a zone and a man to man defense. I bet 10% know the difference between a 6-2 & 5-1 rotation in volleyball. Not that this is the reason Marysa comes out. But it underscores the lack of knowledge about volleyball and why you sub out a middle or other offensive options when they are in their back row rotation.
