Bluejay HOFer Connie Yori will be introduced to the media tomorrow as a member of Flan's staff -- her title will be "Program Advisor", with duties including scouting, game prep, and on-campus recruiting. Good to see her back in women's basketball, and especially at her alma mater.

Wow - that's interesting and a heckuva an addition

Flan used to work for Yori before she went to Lincoln and he was promoted to HC - that dynamic will be kind of interesting.

And - if Ras gave her the thumbs up - lends more to the idea that she got railroaded and screwed over getting fired.

She's CU women's hoops royalty

I have never understood why the Corn fired her. The public explanation was weak and vague. On top of that, the guy who fired her also hired Riley. The whole thing stunk.

Glad to see Flan and Ras have some loyalty to Connie. That’s the Creighton way.
I love Creighton basketball. Yes, I do. I love Creighton. How about you?

I was sad when Connie left, but booed her loudly as NU head coach. The women's VBB program has gained national prominence, and even though the WBB has made alot of NIT' s and a few NCAA's, the look of the WBB programs in the Big East is starting (probably more than starting) to be more like the men and Creighton WBB is not the role model for BE WBB. The league is going the direction of athletic, quick, and up tempo. The staff has been great in recruiting shooters, and role players, and one top 100 girl, but I'm not certain that is going to cut it going forward. Connie did recruit nationally, and I would think that will be her focus. The hope will be maintain the Creighton way, but strive to achieve a higher regional and maybe national market for the right type of women's recruit.

This is only my opinion, but have been to about every women's game since Connie was a player!
