Jays reeling in NYC. 3 runs in 18 innings. Need a win in the nightcap today to avoid loads of pressure when playing the dregs of the Big East.

Devastating. Took a 3-0 lead to the bottom of the 9th after a great 8 innings of pitching - and blew the lead to drop the game 4-3 and get swept. 1-4 start to Big East play is not ... ideal.

I'm not a huge college baseball fan, but I was following pretty closely this weekend. To lose in that way and now CU has a 1–4 league record seems like an almost impossible hole to climb out of.

It’s not good. But both St Johns and Butler have had good seasons and are likely going to be in the top 4 no matter what. We’ve got those two out of the way. None of the other BIG EAST teams have been very good and none have gotten much separation so far, so the Jays can still make up enough ground to get into the tourney. Would be nice to avoid SJU in the opening round, though, and not a lot of room for error against the bad teams.

After an early season of catching lightening in a bottle, old reliable squitty eyed Service with a smile chokes again when it counts. This dufuss soooooo sucks ! But Creighton gets him cheap and that remains the Creighton way...don't pay out for quality but continually ask for big money from ALL ! Great one way thinking. Years ago, they hosed several of us benefactors on the Kitty Gaughn pavilion project leading us to think our $2500 donation would grant us free attendance for the duration. NOT SO.
It's the Creighton way!!! Ya gotta just love the whole phoniness of the empire.

Seton Hall will be a challenge. They're at .500 for the season, but they've played a very difficult schedule. Glad we play them here. Other than that, we shouldn't have much trouble with the remaining teams. Xavier is surprisingly pretty bad, so hopefully we take care of business next weekend. If we win 2 or all 3 against X, we're still in good shape. We just have to hope St. John's doesn't lay any eggs that would hurt us.

As a side note, Church has been really impressive after a slow start. Glad we have a dependable Sunday starter. Wish the bullpen could have held it for him.
