I'm of the opinion that Ed has served his time and it's time for a new voice next year.

However, it makes 0 sense to do it right now. 0.

I don't know. I do know the hitting coach really helped turn things around between last year and this year. The frustrating thing is we might be staring at a 13 game conference losing streak to end this season. We are 5 and 19 in our past 24 conference games.

For the sake of discussion, why so firm on this stance?

Because there are two weeks left in the regular season. They've played 45 games and people honestly think he should be let go with 7 games left after being here for 20+ years?!

ZERO reason to do it now. It may happen after the season, but to do it now would be asinine.

Kinda OT but has FS1 or FS2 broadcast any BE baseball or softball this year?

They have in the past but I don't recall seeing any while casually flipping about this spring.

No. They've all either been on flo sports or ESPN plus.

I assume ESPN+ was for away games only for schools covered by their contract.

Baseball was on Nebraska Public Media TV twice and softball was on once. All 3 of those games were against the Huskers.

For fun:

Do the Jays get an at-large if they win out and finish 38-14, 9 and 5 against Quad 1, and top 50 rpi but just outside big east tournament?

Also, for fun, here are the scenarios where the Jays still make it to Prasco.

Win out.
Xavier gets swept by either Nova or G-town and loses the series to the other.
Would help if Nova would sweep Butler this weekend so Nova would still have motivation next weekend and be in the race still.

If Nova were to sweep this weekend and win 2 out of 3 against X, Nova would finish 10-11. X gets swept by G-town and loses 2 out of 3 to Nova, and the Jays win out, we'd finish a half game ahead of both Nova and X thanks to the third-game rain out against G-town.

Fun to dream.

Coaching...
Down 5-2. Not 1, not 2. But 3. Outs are precious at this point, in the 5th inning. We get the first 2 guys on base. What do we do with Clifford, one of our best hitters, at bat? Sac bunt and kill the rally. Moved the runners over. Pop out. Then strike out looking. Wonderful. Sure glad we moved those guys over with one of our best hitters at the plate.
