CU men win the Platte River Rumble yesterday- first meet win for the program since 2007 (I think). Beat UNL in the process.

Having followed high school and college cross country / track for a while, got to give credit to CU coach Chris Gannon for what he’s doing at CU. Especially impressive since he’s got limited scholarship money to divide up, almost no budget, and CU has no track on campus.

Women finished 26th of 32 teams.
Men finished 16th of 28.

That’s a great performance by the men’s team. Top 15 teams get regional rankings and we were one point away from that. All seven CU runners from today’s race can return next season so that might end up being the best team in CU history if things go right.
