Really hoping we don’t miss out on Tamar. I feel like he was our #1 or 1B target for a really long time, and always thought he was a tad more realistic than landing Hunter.

If he goes elsewhere, we have lots of other options but he’d be a great start

Sucks, we've been on him before pretty much anyone else, I dont think he's ever visited UT, Shaka is on the hot seat and no one shows up for their games but oh well....

Not sure why you think CU is out of the running. If anything, CU and KU have a advantage by having Tamar in their houses. Lets wait and see.

DiRenna Award winner Tamar Bates tells Stockrisers.com that he will shut down his recruitment and take his talents to the University of Texas to play for Shaka Smart. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Kansas City chose the Longhorns over Kansas, Mizzou, Creighton, amongst his other finalists.
