I don't think Isaiah is likely to win the award. His team got beat in sectionals and didn't make state tourney. Plus, his teammate Sanjay Lumpkin is also a finalist and averages about the same ppg.

I would expect the award to go to either Drake recruit Joey King or Harvard recruit Siyani Chambers depending on what happens in the State tourney.

King could be a good one at Drake. He is averaging something like 24 pts and 6 boards in MN's biggest class.

Cali doesn't have a "Mr Basketball". The CIF has a 6 level Division system.
Bock was POY for Div 2 Basketball and a selection for the 1st Team All-State.

Wasn't Quincy Henderson Wisconsin's Mr. Basketball?

man - that would have been a bad year for WI if he was - he only avg'd about 12 pts or so in HS - he was one of those reaches by DA - ended up being a pretty good DII player for some school in MN that went to natl championship games IIRC.

He played at Winona State and they won the D2 National Championship his Junior year, lost in the championship game his senior year. He was not WI's Mr. Basketball.

Per GoCreigton Isaiah will be in the American Family Insurance 3 point contest on CBS at 3:30 on Sunday, pretty sweet.

The gocreighton.com article lists all the contestants for the slam dunk and men's and women's 3-point contests.

One of the names listed for the women's 3-point contest caught my eye - Kari Korver. She led the nation with 138 3-pointers as a high school junior and has accepted a scholarship to UCLA. It turns out she is the cousin of former Jay and NBA sharpshooter Kyle Korver!

Makes sense, Kyle was born in California...
