6'5'' Alaskan recently moved to Arizona to increase his chances at getting solid looks from college coaches. Creighton was quick to offer. New Mexico, Gonzaga, Oregon State, San Francisco have already offered. Plays with 2014 target Casey Benson.

Against no comp, but the kid has great court awareness, runs the floor, and can drive either side. Thumbs up!!!!

Maybe in some areas, but Avery doesn't possess the crossover or on-ball defense. He looks quite a bit quicker to me and those were soph highlights. I believe he is way ahead of Avery at similar stages in career.

Stating that he's played "no comp" is patently false. Many of the highlights are against 6A Carver Alabama and Anchorage schools (population 300K) The "perception" Alaska is not competitive in basketball is not based in reality, Alaska 4A teams and even 3A teams compete regularly and admirably against Lower 48 teams. Don't make me play the Chalmers, Langdon, Boozer card :)

Dane is the prototypical SG and favors a comparison to Rashad Vaughn.

Per Coach McDermott Dane is more athletic than Korver and McDermott - not my words the HC words spoken to Dane and his AAU coach. McDermott was just at Corona Del Sol to visit Casey Benson and Dane. Could not meet with Dane because he is not officially enrolled (will be Monday). Coach McDermott wants to set-up a home visit in the fall. Coach McDermott had lunch with Dane's AAU coaches and spoke with Dane today for 30 minutes on the phone.

The highlights are from Dane's freshman year not sophomore :)

Thanks for stopping by. Dane looks like a fine player!

The way he squares up and uses his legs on his jumper actually reminds me of another CU great Nate Funk who went into the CU Hall of Fame within the last couple weeks.

I apologize for the hasty, wrongful assumption that the comp is weak simply because it is in Alaska. On another note....those were his frosh highlights? Verbal this kid up!

I don't typically put too much stock in highlight videos, but this one was very impressive. Dane has a better pull up jumper than most D1 college players. Would love to see this kid in CU blue.

With all the postings by hilltop this week I hadn't taken the time to watch the highlights. So many things jump out, getting a steal and going 80' for the jam and he's a 6'6" freshman. Taking it to the rim and finishing with his left hand. Great passing hitting threes hitting from the elbow. I hope Mac keeps the heat on and can land him. Go Jays!
