"But I truly care about Creighton and the fans and what they've done for me the last three years. I want to give them one more year and take care of business in the Big East so we can prove people wrong.'' ---- Doug McDermott
Maybe this is old news, but I just learned that Andre is a southpaw.
Next year we will have four left-handed players with Yates, Jones, Artino, and Geoff all suited up.
Maybe this isn't much of an advantage, but I've always felt it gave Antoine an edge as defenders are used to guarding guys who are strong to the right.
Lots about Yates in this one. His team won handily but he had 4 fouls (including 1 Techincal) in the first half. Sounds like it was a borderline call for the T. His comments and attitude are encouraging. Seems like a winner and a leader. Like Chatman he has some NBA mentors. That is pretty sweet. The Dayton HS basketball scene sounds pretty intense.
He visited, changed his Facebook status to show Creighton as his college choice. Word is (no proof) that his test scores couldn't get him in to CU. Off he goes to WCC.
For those that want to upgrade the athletes in the program we will always have issues as some kids who can get into the UNL's of the world can't get into CU.
