2015 F Juwan Morgan (Indiana Verbal Commit)

Creighton picking up interest in 6'7'' post player Juwan Morgan. Morgan is a late bloomer who like Artino has grown nearly 7 inches in high school. Morgan is a complete player with tremendous athleticism and range from 3. Morgan has offers from Missouri State but interest from the entire Big XII. Real big target for Creighton!

Morgan told AllHoosiers.com that Indiana, Washington, Vanderbilt, Northwestern and Creighton are recruiting him the hardest at this point but only officials to Indiana and Washington are certain to happen.

Made the cut; official visit on the way: https://twitter.com/juwanmorgan23/statu ... 6529103872

BTW, this is one smart kid. He tweeted out his class schedule and he is in almost all AP classes, including calculus.

I saw him play in Kansas City and was very impressed. He's a bouncy athlete who was making plays on both ends, swatting shots and deflecting passes on defense and throwing down on the other. I know Mac and D-Rock saw him play at least once, though I'm not sure who was there for his other games (D-Rock was there for all of Glynn Watson's games that I saw).

I feel more optimistic about our chances with Morgan than most others int he 2015 class. Kid who is looking for a combo of education and hoops at a school.

Surely, his list reflects that. I think it comes down to Vandy and Creighton, and I like our chances.

If Vandy is another serious contender - can anyone compare/contrast him vs Toye?

I think Jacob and others will be able to give a better comparison, but Morgan is 6'9" while Toye is 6'7", and he''s more of a PF than a SF.

Most listings I've seen list him at 6'7 but who knows, every time I see Austin chatman up close and the top of his head comes about to the bridge of my nose I chuckle. I'm 6 foot.

Sounds like Juwan will visit CU on Sept. 19th. Hope Juwan has a great visit to Omaha. Go Jays!

Other officials: Vanderbilt on Aug. 28-30, Washington on Sept. 12-14 and Indiana on Sept. 26-28. I always wondered if it was better to get the first one or the last one. I guess it depends if the player commits before getting to the last one....
