Weren't you one of the leaders of the 'we can't land anyone worthwhile ' guys six weeks back?

His athleticism is one of the reasons why we initially got involved but it is his range and 3PT shooting ability that has made him a priority for the staff.

I indeed was. At that time, we hadn't heard about Khyri's commitment (I figured he was going to get picked up by some other big program after his showing at NPS), and there wasn't much news on any other players we were actively pursuing. We were 0-8 in the Big East and I figured we had Patton, Stewart, and Krampelj. And that was it.

I'll readily admit that I was wrong. The staff seems to be making a huge push lately. The Khyri commitment was a pretty big deal for us, IMO. We don't have a player like him on the roster. Dillard and the other targets also all appear to be players who could immediately contribute. So with all of that, I'll gladly eat the crow served to me.

Wow, great response. There has been a ridiculous amount of over the top negativity lately, and to sack up and own your share of it is pretty impressive.

I'm serious.

This young man combined with the four we have signed would be awesome additions. A 6'5" power guard with range just what the doctor ordered.

We need Davon.

Too bad he and Check Diallo aren't a package deal. Looking at the stats Cheick is doing serious work for Our Savior New American.

They might end up being just that if Diallo ends up at Pitt. Damon Wilson, a teammate at Our Savior, has already signed with Pitt. Pitt wants Diallo and they are in Dillard's final 5. Most people think Diallo will end up at KU, UK, or Iowa St., but it does appear that Dillard gets a lot of love from Pitt fans on Twitter. Pitt and Purdue are his Crystal Ball leaders on 247.
