TRANSFER :: Clayton Custer (Loyola-Chicago Verbal)

Wed Mar 25, 2015 10:15 am

Iowa State freshman PG Clayton Custer is leaving their program.

Look for the Jays to inquire. Would be Sophomore after sitting a season.

This one is pretty interesting. Wouldn't have gotten much playing time behind the current PG at Iowa State who was a Soph, I think. High major offers, pretty good game that might fit well with us. Would also tee up a replacement for Watson after he graduates.

Clayton's game is perfect for Creighton.

Top 100 kid from last year who had several big 12 offers. Hope we go after this kid.

Custer's has already checked out Creighton. Will be looking mostly at schools in the mid-west.

Is he a pure PG or a combo?

Would be a good compliment for Mo and then compete with Marlon for starting role in 2017-18.

Problem is we need help next year, not in two years...

This is exactly my feeling. He would be secondary in importance behind some guard help for next year.
