Re: 2016 G Dejon Jarreau (Offered)

LSU has 2 commits (6-3 PG and a SF)- both Louisiana kids, and have not offered Brison. I am more concerned about Coach Larrannega and Miami. The allure of Coconut Grove, Miami Beach nitelife, and the beach may be too much to overcome. Miami just signed a big-their only commit to date, but has 30 offers on the table.
How many scholies available at LSU and the U (Miami)?

Lastly - 2 bigs are visiting in September: PF Siewert and Ctr Smith. PG Shamorie Ponds is due to pull the trigger soon. SF Xavier Sneed does his official Oct 2nd. Could the Jays be full by the end of the 1st week in October?

For all the doom and gloom on this board at the end of the season, UMass and Memphis are indications of how bad our situation could be with a multitude of transfers out of the program. Think the same thing would happen to Wichita if Gregg ever leaves. Cannot wait for this recruiting cycle to wrap up. If we can land one of Donnal, Waters, or Bowen I will be a happy camper. Two is just icing on the cake of an awesome recruiting class. Would not mind adding Jarreau too ;) but guessing that ship sailed and he'd definitely be priority #4 right now.

I loved this guy's tape way-back-when. It looks like he had a solid, well-rounded freshman season at UMass. Averages of right around 10 points, 5 boards and 4 assists. He strikes me as a guy who could step into Marcus Foster's position pretty seamlessly for the 2018-2019 season after sitting out a year. I wonder if he'll take a similar path as Foster? Choosing elsewhere, and coming later.

I wonder if he and Brison Gresham are still a package deal? If so, would that hurt us with available scholarship openings?

We have 2 spots open and we have 2 wings coming in as part of the 2017 class. We seem content to leave one of those open spots for Tugs (I have no problem with that), but at the same time we are going after a post player and a top 50 PG. The numbers game is fascinating and I'm not sure who I'd want more personally, Gresham or Donnal. Same height but Donnal is 20 lbs heavier.
