Alkins returning should help our chances right?

It would probably help us if it was truly down to us, MSU and Zona like we all thought at one point.. but Oregon, DePaul and Texas seem to have as good of a chance as the Jays along with MSU and Zona. Also saw he's taking an unofficial to Wayne State, so maybe they're the sleeper.

Great news for the Jays. Need Cam Johnson to commit to Oregon now and hold off DePaul and Texas. Got a bad feeling bout them horns...

If you would have told me six weeks ago that Michigan State and Arizona were essentially eliminated from the discussion for Tugs, I would have thought, "Holy moly, Creighton just landed one of its best recruits ever!" But instead, it's possible that the Jays might have actually dropped from 3rd on his list to a new 4th, behind Texas, Oregon and DePaul. Is NC State back ahead of us too? Who knows? Too much drama!

And yeah, I still say "holy moly." Got a problem with that?

With the news that CU might be a leading contender for Jarreau, I'm leaning toward signing him and Gresham and moving along. Frankly, I like Jarreau's tape and athleticism more than Bowen's. Not saying that Jarreau is better, but he's a damn good player who has already proven he can be an effective stat-filler at the D1 level.

Anybody see the Twitter dig someone laid on Tugs? He tweeted about going to the prom and someone commented to the effect that his date had better be careful, because he's looking for a better option right up to the first dance.

Wasn't a Jays fan I don't think, but a nice burn nonetheless.

I believe Wednesday is the deadline for players to pull out of the NBA draft. That is apparently what Bowen has been waiting on. Coaches should know something by the end of the week. I don't understand people's impatience. Tugs can be a player that is a game changer recruiting-wise. The coaches have spent how many days pursuing him. If we aren't willing to do that will we ever sign top recruits? The coaches are in the best position to judge the situation both with respect to Bowen and the NOLA duo. We have a lot of the competition that have DQ'ed themselves, do we add our names to the list?

Emmanuel Akot, 2018 wing, re-classified and will join with Zona next year. Arizona out on Bowen at this point.

We'll talk about Tugs on the WBR podcast tonight

Arizona has to be out of the running for Tugs. 5 start junior Emmanuel Akot committed and reclassified to 2017. Akot, Trier,Alkins, and Tugs? Probably not.
