watched the last 12 minutes or so of the game.

In that time frame he didn't have a great game, but it seemed to me most guys were just trying to display their talents, so not a lot of team first concepts going on.

Still hoping he choses CU in the end.

He suits up for La Lumiere tonight in the Dick's Sporting Goods National Tournament. LaLu is the number one seed, and if they advance to the finals, he will play 3 games in 3 days. We probably did not see him at 100% last night.

Good, bad or indifferent from CU's perspective?

Simmons is declaring? He is nowhere near being ready for the NBA. He wasn't even in the Arizona rotation at the end of the year.

It was Markkanen who declared. From a Tugs perspective this has little bearing. From a JP perspective this puts another name ahead of him in the draft, as expected. Simmons leaving again probably won't affect too much of what Tugs will do, as he will likely fight for minutes with a guy like Trier. Having said that current thought is that if Simmons leaves Trier will return as that will open up even more shots for Trier.

In my opinion Kobi Simmons may have a greater effect on Justin (as a cautionary tale) rather than Tugs. Simmons is 6'5" and 175 (too weak for his size for the NBA IMO). He shot 39% from the field and 32% from 3. More importantly he played 5 minutes against Xavier and 6 minutes against St Mary's. The lesson here is that people are always whispering what you want to hear in your ear. What should be valued are those people who tell you what you need to hear. Tugs never saw him as competition because true one and dones excel at the D-1 level.

That's one possibility. Another is that the kid just doesn't want to be in college anymore and sees the opportunity to make six or seven figures, even if it's not in the NBA. I will never a fault a kid for that. College isn't for everyone.

Brian Bowen is planning to go one and done route...that's why he's taking so long to commit but I have a feeling Creighton is not a good fit for him if he really wants that route.

His decision is all about Zona's/Spartys roster moves. Period.
