Yes!!! The Tugs thread is BACK!

In all seriousness, is anyone surprised? How did these morons not think they would get caught?

Four assistants named in the federal indictment -- one each from USC, Auburn, Oklahoma State, and Arizona -- plus the head of sports marketing for Adidas, which is where Louisville and Tugs come into play, as they're an Adidas school.

Funny reading this quote from Pitino now:

These guys are screwed. Unlike NCAA investigators, the feds don't entertain lobbyists from power conferences, or care about minimizing PR damage to the sport or whether an accused program is a blueblood or a smaller school that can be made an example of. They didn't break NCAA rules this time; they allegedly committed REAL crimes with real world consequences. Could be one of the biggest scandals in college sports in a long time.

Holy shit (if this is legit)

What kind of punishment does Bowen get in this scenario?

If true, he'll be playing in Europe soon.

What should happen (you would think) is that he would no longer be eligible and would start to train for next year's draft. What will happen is the NCAA will take 3 years to come to a decision and Tugs will be 2 years into his NBA career by then.

Bowen isn't good enough to go to the NBA next year. I doubt the $100,000 was worth it. Good luck in Portugal.

I hope some other recruits out there are paying attention!
