Let's hope not all potential recruits are steered the wrong direction.

What kind of punishment does Bowen get in this scenario?

What should happen (you would think) is that he would no longer be eligible and would start to train for next year's draft. What will happen is the NCAA will take 3 years to come to a decision and Tugs will be 2 years into his NBA career by then.

This. The NCAA always drags their feet on things. Look at how long this UNC fraudulent classes scandal is taking...

Head of Nike's youth program was also arrested. Adidas was paying kids to go to Adidas schools - so of course Nike was paying kids to go to Nike schools. Who knows who started it.

Apparently the Tugs stuff is *on tape* :o

I'd recommend checking out Mr. Riley's entire Twitter thread from this morning as he unpacked the indictment. It details lots more, including Tugs' family telling a U of L assistant that a "rival" apparel company was offering more so they needed to up their offer, offers of envelopes full of cash because U of L was on probation and needed to do this "on the down low", mafia-don type comments by U of L assistants regarding Pitino...it's amazing stuff.
