New info: Creighton is waiting on a ruling by big east if they can sign him
There will be some mad Hoyas if we get him. You're only supposed to try to steal the coaches from other BE teams, not the recruits!

He de-committed from the Hoyers. Nuthin' better than a bit of salt in their wounds...the Foggy Bottom haughty, high & mighty SOB's.

Two posts from Georgetown site just for fun:

To be honest I'm over this recruit.

and

one of my buddies posted the literature of the Big East agreement on recruits and it seemed like it clearly didn't apply to Waters (meaning Creighton could sign him)

there must be something else

but as HoyaLuv said, I'm over it too -- if the kid wanted to be here with Ewing he would have already signed because it indeed makes the most sense

move on.

I could see a scenario in which Bowen is waiting to see if Tremont gets cleared to come to Creighton. If that is the case his further delay as the pieces at Arizona and Oregon get sorted makes sense.

The idea that AU is out of it (the Bowen sweepstakes) makes some sense to me. As does the idea that Bowen is waiting to see if Waters goes CU. Nothing a scorer like more than someone who can get him the ball.

Maybe I'm missing something, but he hasn't even visited has he?

Adding Waters and Bowen to this recruiting class would be a huge testament to the work being done by the coaching staff this year. Feels like when we won the Benoit sweepstakes back in the day.

If we don't close with those 2, it's still a tremendous class. If we do close with those 2? It's a legitimate Big East championship type of class.

For those that are frustrated about the timelines...get over yourselves and enjoy the ride. Also, look at it this way...it helps spread the drama until the season starts.

Whether we win or lose these two, it's a great time to be a Jay.

Has there been a recent example of a CU recruit that committed without visiting the campus?

or

a 4-5* recruit in college bball that recruited without a visit?

I'm almost positive I recall a recruit in the last few years who committed without a visit. I just don't remember who it was.

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN

Virginia transfer Darius Thompson is expected to commit to Western Kentucky. Remember, the smart money is on Rick Stansbury in recruiting.

Smart money, lol...

Goodman with another (not so) cryptic note on WKU's tactics.
