Not sure if I have seen anything regarding this possibility, but could a grad transfer decide to pay their own way for one year? Are they required to take a full load of classes? If not, could that make the price of attending Creighton for a year much smaller?

It seems to me that someone that just got a full ride for the last 4 years might be willing to take out a few loans for one year in the hopes of perhaps getting recognized in a top conference. Not saying they would be NBA worthy, but perhaps they latch on to Europe and can make some money there.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I think Creighton does have an appeal in that many of its transfers have enjoyed success playing professional basketball following their time at Creighton. Echenique, Kreklow, Woodfox, Gibbs are just a few. Watson, Huff and Foster are sure to join them. I don't want to become Transfer U, but it's seemingly become a bigger part of college basketball and we will only want the best. This history only helps us.

Seems we have quite the list of transfers - some prior to this current flood. Coupled with our longstanding use of Jucos, the Jays have done well mixing in Transers and Jucos with our HS recruits over the years.

Transfers...
Day, Deren, Millard, Bahe, Echenique, Gibbs
Kreklow, Huff, Watson, Foster, Joseph

;)

Kreklow was a walk-on. He picked that over a scholarship to UNL. I believe graduate students have to be enrolled in 6 hours of graduate program classes each semester to be full time, so the cost should actually be substantially less than a full year at undergraduate tuition. Someone can correct me if I am wrong on that.
