I am assuming he was referring to a connection between Joseph and Bowen, not a connection between Bowen and Michigan St.

Murphy is lead on Bowen. Was lead on Joseph. His imprint is being felt more and more at Creighton.

Which is a good thing, imo. Recruiting is sales, and Coach Murphy's a great closer. Talentwise Creighton is closing the perceived gap in talent - rapidly. It has been noted by the national media outlets, the talking heads (Zagoria, Rothstein, Goodman, others), on the HLH, and even the WH. Coach Murphy is obviously a workaholic...keep up the good work.

There was negative criticism of Coach Sellers and it still crops up today? Kids out east, such as Joseph were the ones he reached out to during his stay with the Jays. Murphy is doing a bangup job, but it is fair in Joseph's case to give Pat Sellers a bit of credit - as he primed the pump so to speak with many eastern recruits.

As some have noted before - the Jays are ahead of schedule.
