A lot has been said about needing a big guy real bad in this recruiting class. CU has 7 guys 6'-8 or above and 3 guys 6'-10" or above. What this recruit class really needs is a small forward. CU has possibly 2 SF's and one of them is only 6'-3".

Fran Fraschilla of ESPN just tweeted out the following about some of our 2017 guys

Creighton has gotten terrific '17 backcourt coming in in 6-5 Mitch Ballock & 6-3 Ty-Shon Alexander. Both playing great @StephenCurry30 Camp.

Man I cannot wait to see these touted guys in blue!

Hopefully they are finding some time to do a little recruiting on Liddell while they are out there too.

bumping this thread - right now the team has one scholarship open and we currently have three players to replace four seniors - so one more scholarship to fill? There'll be a need for a point guard once Mo is gone - Marcus can play some point in 2017 but the only pg on the roster is Davion and he's somewhat of a combo. But if they feel that our other guards can play pg as well (ty-shon?), I could also see them trying to get a zach replacement. Justin, Hunter, Martin - especially once Zach leaves, that's a thin frontcourt.

Kaleb Joseph is the other PG and I think we still have 2 more scholarships available at the moment.

Thanks, I'd forgotten about Kaleb. So they should definitely be focusing on a big man

...and Toby Hegner is still here as well. Not as "thin" up front as some think. Unless Paras commits we have 2 scholies as Jet915 stated. It is still the summer of 2016...a long ways to go to Fall of 2017. Recruiting will work itself out.

Still 2 scholarships left. The question is do we target Christian David now that Kobe has committed? One thing is for sure we need a powerful 6'9"+ big man who can battle down low. Justin looks special but we can't resort to Toby or Martin at the 5 if he gets in foul trouble (I mean we could but it would be nice to have more options down low).
Loving the future of this program and the recruiting that has been done ever since the move to the Big East. Well done coaching staff!

I agree, two scholies left. One has to be to a big IMO and the other for a wing. Wonder if this would help or hurt our chances with Christian David....

The young talent for this program looks sick with Paras, Mintz, Alexander, Ballock, Patton etc. Lets get another big or two, the future looks very very very bright!
