6'3 PG commits to Creighton, from Syracuse. Top 50 player out of HS. Sit one, two to play. Weird how minutes after Broome picks UC, we get Joseph. Huge get!

Odd situation at Cuse. Was a starter almost all of his freshmen year, not eye popping stats, but had some nice games. Barely played his sophomore year. If you watch his high school tape, it's obvious he has a lot of potential. Lots of bounce, pretty quick.

I think this will be the better pick up between him and Cane Broome. I am not sure what happened to him last year, but he did have a solid Freshman year playing at a higher level in the ACC than Broome. Anyone know if he had injuries or just lost out on playing time?

Seems like the type of player who could benefit from a redshirt year. Give him the chance to take a step back and work on his game while learning from Mo.

Strange situation though. Give the option do you take a former Syracuse starter who fell off on playing time? Or a low conference player who played and score against much weaker competition? Wonder who committed first? Joseph or Broome?

Did he visit?

Either we took a pass on Cane so he went to Cinci, or we told Kaleb he was next if Cane went to Cinci. I like this better than bringing in a high volume shooter. Not eye-popping statistics, but those are as a freshman against some very good competition. Will need to improve shooting percentage, particularly from outside to keep teams from just sagging off of him to clog up the lane. Assists aren't great, but Syracuse plays a different system and he may not necessarily get the assists like the PG does in CU's offense. Appears to have the athleticism to compete and ball-handling skill set, so a year to work on his game should be very beneficial. Should also benefit the team by putting a very good athlete on the scout team for Mo to work against.

Great work by the OWH on this story. Not even on the sports page online or anything to be found. Yet when I logged onto Syracuse.com this morning I learned of the news. Glad we are such a priority in Omaha.
