Good question Jet. Could be Teddy but could be some one reclassify or an Euro. Classes will start in about a month so we should hear something before too long. Go Jays!

Who knows I thought he had cut his list to 12 but the OWH says he plans on an official visit to CU. He would be a good get.

Carrigan graduated 2017, had planned a prep year as his list of schools was lightweight, in order to get better offers. Visited UConn unofficially and received an offer. Had said he wants to visit us and the Shockers officially. Grades are not an issue. IMHO Jays will offer on visit...he should accept and commit. It's a BE offer after all.

As we are learning our coaches pitch our program from a "fit" perspective. No comparing apples vs bananas and other programs.
Zach, Jeremiah, Xavier Foster, others, etc. will
make their respective decisions and we will probably be in the mix.

Some folks love bright lights-big city, some luv Big Name schools, others love big campuses and crowds, etc., etc., etc.
We've got a great program that can stand on its' own merits. Creighton tends to "self-select" a certain kind of person.
Others (Stover, Westbrook, Kreklow, Echenique, Larson, Gesell, Woodbury, Mulder, McQuaid, Foster, Bowen, etc.) go to other schools for myriad reasons.
Some return via the transfer route, some don't.

Our program is unique, we have committed coaches-to the recruits AND to the program, and we have a very good history. Recruits see the name guys transferring in, see a good recruit or 2 coming in, see recruits turn around and also start recruiting others. It is infectious. When guys like Mitch and Ian, who could play anywhere, begin to tout the virtues of Creighton, when coaches such as Jeff McInnis and others bring their whole squads to visit - others take notice. When high level recruits visit, whether they commit or not - others take notice. There is no bad PR McQuaid, Bowen, Waters, Campbell...everything is good PR. When suddenly Creighton is signing all 4-star players repeatedly. Recruits notice and say "What's with Creighton"? More begin to consider us and more begin to visit. They see a very good program when they arrive and give significant real consideration to the Jays. That's more than we need and could ask for. The guys we want (the recruits we are now getting) are the ones who see what Creighton has to offer and say "I can make this program better...championship caliber".: The future is Now!

As we are seeing with these last 2 classes, we will get our guys.
No worries.

ESPN Article on recruits to Blue Bloods or not. Mainly focused on whether recruits get to NBA/NBA Draft, etc. Some points are appropriate to this discussion.

LE 18Sep17 Remember - we are 2 to 3 years out on these guys (it's still Sep of 2017)... Due to the fact we are getting early commits, the Jays are way ahead in the recruiting curve. It's a bit presumptuous to be predicting 2019 and 2020 commits. As a midwestern guy I remember the lure, the draw of the WC and the ocean when I was 17-19 - The stuff of fantasy, movies, and tvland. LA, SF, San Diego...the stuff of dreams for a teen. Sun & Fun, Baywatch, beaches, bikinis, babes, Hollywood, and so forth. That why so many Midwest and Great Plains kids join the Navy and Marines - to go visit the Left Coast and become a part of that fantasy, albeit on a lower level (I did). An athlete is no different than any other teen...dreams, dream schools, hot chicks, fantasies of greatness on the West Coast, becoming a "star", etc., etc. Reality has a tough time battling against adolescent dreams of grandeur...for a while.
