Don’t particularly agree. The city doesn’t give a damn about DePaul and local families have been happy to steer their talented sons out of the city up to now. The chance for a home run hire for a small private university that can’t touch the salaries large state schools can pony up aren’t high.

That last point goes for small private universities in Omaha.

Not sure you can do worse than Leitao though seemed like a nice guy but results were horrible.

He seemed to put together good rosters, and his first time at DePaul he had solid results, but every game we played them, he'd look like he would screw up things in the game, and even worse his teams seemed to have little to no offensive plan at all.

Even this year, they looked like a BE roster on paper, just not in the results

i remember i commented on a depaul team a couple years ago, on a pre-season HLOH thread. i thought they'd be pretty good. A few posters from the C7 faction said something along the lines of, 'depaul is always going to be worse than you think'. And that is always the impression i've gotten when we played them. talented players, but a bad program.

Coach Mac responded to the tweet to congratulate him. Best of luck to Preston.

Maybe this is my sour grapes with his old man coming out, but seriously, retiring a jersey before the kid even graduates?
