That was fun. Steere is going to be so good. He's physically ready now, rebounds well, has good control, etc. Really good.

And it was awesome hearing so much talk about how good Creighton is, along the way.

(As an aside -- that would have been a shame if Team Charlotte ended up losing because of that last foul they called to give Boo Williams the free throws that tied the game before Steere's clutch shot. It was a moving pick on Boo Williams AND it was the kid's own teammate whose shoulder he hit, not a Team Charlotte player.)

8 PTS, 10 RBS. Altered a lot of shots. Good things happened when he got the ball. He was calling for it a lot of the game but didn't get a lot of touches. 1 on 1 Post Defense was okay. Seems like the opponent made some lucky shots on him. Shot 2 free throws and swished both. Has a really nice touch on his shot. Would like to see him be a little more aggressive. He got outhustled a few times. Game was tied up with 15 secs left and he got the ball and hit a turn around jumper a couple feet from the block and made it FTW. Announcers gave him and Creighton a lot of love

He's a grown man.

We haven't seen someone look like that since Echinique.

I'm excited.

Hadn't watched much tape of Ian until recently. Have the Jays ever had a player built like him that was so athletic too? I can't think of anybody. I love trying to come up with NBA comps for CU recruits, acknowledging that is setting the bar very high, but a couple names come to mind:

Aaron Gordon - less athletic than Aaron, but similar game
Taj Gibson?
Derrick Favors?

Old school comps: Vin Baker? Juwan Howard?

Optimal comp: Blake Griffin?

Again, not saying he is those players, but similar style of play, maybe? Anybody have better ones?

Zach Hanson, Brody Deren.

Don't know if Brody was near 240 lbs, but he could be a load when he was dialed in.

Nearly won the Guardians Classic (KCMO) in 2002 by himself vs ND. Had 13 pts, 3 blks vs the Irish.
