Dedric Lawson's stats are eye popping. Averaged 19 and 9 last year. Never even heard of this dude.

http://www.omaha.com/creighton/blog/recruiting-cu-scanning-the-grad-transfer-market-for-big-men/article_810f574e-1bac-11e7-b7aa-1384d53a945a.html

Good article from Nyatawa. Must say he's done a great job this season and particularly lately.

His top 5 list:

Sean Obi :: 6-9 :: Duke
Cam Johnson :: 6-8 :: Pitt
Kameron Rooks :: 7-2 :: Cal
Kerem Kanter :: 6-10 :: UW-GB
Mark Donnal :: 6-9 :: Michigan

Others
Matthew Atewe :: 6-9 :: Washington
Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed :: 6-9 :: VCU
Duby Okeke :: 6-8 :: Winthrop
Jack Whitman :: 6-9 :: William & Mary
Hans Brase :: 6-9 :: Princeton

From this list I think it's pretty clear Donnal is the target to replace Patton. Rooks and Obi are big question marks due to injuries in past. Would be tough to have a grad transfer and Toby rehabbing at the same time. Need someone who is ready to go from day 1 imo. Donnal is super productive, skilled and tested. Kanter is looking elsewhere. The staff would love to have Johnson at the 4. He's more of a 2 than a 5. There are other options out there who have not yet declared they will be transferring so watch this space.

Donnal or Cam Johnson would be good additions. Both grad transfers. Johnson has 2 years to give.

Donnal 6'9", while he will not overwhelm anyone, was steady at UM over 3 years and had a few games where he excelled.
Johnson is the Pitt equivolent to JP...unknown local - growth spurt to 6'8" - given a shot by Pitt, and was very good. Guard skills in a PF body and has 2 years of eligibility left.

Updated.

Michael Jacobson leaving Nebraska. A name to keep an eye on could be North Texas' Jeremy Combs. Solid low post presence with a nose for the rebound.

Brady Ernst has reopened his recruitment. Would have 3 year to play. I know we watch him a lot in high school.
