really thought we were going to land him...hopefully the coaches have something up their sleeve and will pleasantly surprise us.

F---. I was really hoping for this one. Pretty concerned about playing a whole season without a real center. That's not a recipe for success in the big East.

So it's likely that CU goes into 2017/18 2 short on scholarship players? Ugh

No matter what happens with Bowen, I'd be shocked if we make it to next season with two spots open.

How is it that Jacob Epperson is not a real center?

He is a real center who is 6'11 and weighs 197 lbs. so he will most likely redshirt next year.

I know we need a proven/experienced big man, but I did not want Mark Donnal. Perhaps it's because he looks identical to my nemesis in high school. His numbers at Michigan are so blah. But maybe that's how desperate we are, I don't know. Are there better bigs out there that we have realistic shots at?

Or maybe the question is - Are there better bigs out there that are better than Toby Hegner? TBH, he did not look bad at the 5 last year. Not the best answer, but could do well as an Ethan Wragge 5 (albeit with less range but actual post moves).

Not a bad point. However, I think depth is needed there. There's Hegner, Krampelj and Epperson. I don't know anything about Dunkum so I don't know if he's viable. Toby's post-moves have come a long, long way.

Hegner and Martin will be out of position at the 5 and outclassed at that position by most big East bugs. While not all conference material, Donnal could have held his own and allowed Toby to play his natural position.

Curious about Donnal’s season. Averaging 4 & 2 in 12 minutes per game. Played every game. Clemson having a nice season but 4 of 5 starters are averaging more than 32 minutes per game. Would expect a late collapse from exhaustion in March.
