Final ESPN Top 100

ESPN recruiting usually sucks, but here's where our guys are placed.

#13 *Brian Bowen*
#32 *Tremont Waters*
#75 Ty-Shon Alexander

No Mitch Ballock proves ESPN recruiting sucks. No Epperson, either.

If you watched the all star game Friday night it was clear what their main recruiting expert thought of CU. Ballock not in top 100 is a joke. If he had chosen KU he would be in the top 40. Go Jays!

Not sure why Ballock dropped so much, he was like in the 50s when he committed then went to 99 and now gone....

Doesn't matter at this point..Epperson, Ballock and Alexander are all going to wear Blue this year and it's a tremendous foundation class.

In any other year we would and should be totally stoked to have inked those three, but this year we dare to dream for more.

We want a top 10 class!

We want Tugs!

We want Waters!

We want Donnal!

We want a big east championship!

Because he's going to Creighton and the BE.

Borzello acting oblivious when I confronted him with facts. Wonder why ESPN will be bankrupt by June 2018?

Recruiting rankings overall matter, but player by player they don't. Which is odd to say but it is true. And if Ballock did commit to KU with their offer, he would be top 100, no doubt.

All the recruiting services are just followers to a large extent. None of them have ever watched Ballock (or anybody else) practice or go through a private workout. They just say, "Well Kentucky got this guy, he must be good" or "This guy has a bunch of offers, he must be good" and so on.

Nice summary of Creighton's recruiting thus far by ESPN:

Creighton landed two of the premier shot-makers in the national class, Ty-Shon Alexander and Mitchell Ballock, early in the process and received NLI's from both during the early signing period. That duo isn't just talented, they're uniquely qualified to thrive in Greg McDermott's system which puts a premium on players who are both skilled and cerebral. The Bluejays have been focused almost exclusively on adding a piece to the front-court since November and last week they landed one of the best left on the board in Jacob Epperson. The 6-foot-11 big man is still filling out his frame but once his body catches up to his skill set his ceiling is high and so he's a very quality long-term pick-up for Creighton.

Also, on ESPN's Creighton recruiting page, it lists Brian Tugs Bowen, Philip Flory (3-star SG) and Isaiah Coleman-Lands (3-star PG) as 2017 recruits still "Considering" Creighton. Don't know who those last two chaps are.
