Four-star recruit who picked the home state Illini over Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, and others. Averaged 5.8 points in 19.1 minutes per game this past season, shot 33.7 percent from the field and 23.2 percent from 3-point range and averaged 1.4 rebounds and assists per game. Would have to sit a year, but he'd have three years of eligibility remaining.

I assume he would have to sit out a season?

Yep, he would. I edited my post above to clarify that.

Offers from Mizzou and Boston College, have been unable to confirm but there has been no reported offer from Creighton.

There must be something there to have been a four star recruit, but a shooting guard who can't shoot, isn't high on my list. Decent height and appears to have some upper body strength. Perhaps a red-shirt year to get his game right will be good. Certainly, some size for the other guards to practice against could benefit all next year, if he's a solid defender and coaches think he will put in the work.

We have point guards who can shoot, shooting guards who can shoot, wings who can shoot, forwards who can shoot, centers who can shoot - I would be happy if we had some croots who can do anything else.
