Re: 2018 class

I wanted to cover it last night but we got busy and Jaheens is so good, but yes they are pushing for him to re-new his interest in the Jays. As for who I think they're looking at closely right now it would seem to be

2018
PG: Dotson, Dosunmu, Llewelyn, Zegarowski
SG: Embery
Post: Anei, Heiman

There are some out there that see Embery as a PG. He's very similar to Foster, but not as good of a shooter or athletic, but very versatile in the backcourt. I get the impression the Embery really likes the Jays, it will be interesting to see how long the Jays continue to court Dosunmu and maybe Dotson, as they are two of the gems in the 2018 PG class.

2019

Whaaa? Well I'm flattered by the suggestion, but my playing days were over in the mid to late 70's.

Thanks for the shoutout.

Just in case of the slight possibility u were referring to Zach... no relation, although he does bear a bit of my boyish good looks. - gtmoBlue

Okay, let's get this out there so no more breath is wasted on him, although Devon Dotson plays with Ian Steere, the Jays are NOT under consideration so.....move along, nothing to see here:

From the blurb on Moreno: "Iowa's offered already. As have a couple other mid-majors."

Not saying the Jays are sky-rocketing up his list right now, but I think if any fan-base could appreciate how little a 'final 8' means in recruiting it would be us.

That said I know Creighton is making another push to stay involved.

It's way early but Creighton currently has the #11 ranked class in the nation (#2 in Big East) per 247.

The most interesting thing about the 2018 class to me is the point guard search. The Jays seem to be all in on Ayo Dosunmu, who's now considered a 5 star and consensus top 30 player. But, Keyshawn Emberey has the Jays in his top 5 and seems to be very high on the Jays. Do we slow play Keyshawn in waiting for Ayo? Or can we take both?

You sign the first one that says yes if he was offered a scholarship but if a 5* guy comes along later, you sign them both.

Counting the 2 commits for 2018, this year's Creighton roster has 4 of the top 5 and 9 of the top 20 rated incoming Creighton freshman since 2000. (5) 4 star guys just in the last 2 years. I remember the days when signing a 3 star guy brought excitement to us fans.
It's great to be a Jaybacker and fan.
