Tyronn Lue is maybe 6 feet tall and maybe weighed 170 in his playing days at UNL. He finished his UNL career (3 years) third all time in assists, 4th in 3 pointers made, 5th in steals, and 7th in scoring -- after which he had an 11 year NBA career. Tyronn made it because he was lightning quick and had a good handle and decent stroke. Shereef's size is not going to be an issue given his quicks. That gives him an advantage not only on defense but in getting away from defenders to get off his shot. As long as he develops a decent enough outside shot that defenders have to respect it, such as Mo did his senior year, he is going to be alright. Plus, he gives us a match up against someone like a Shamorie Ponds, who can kill with quickness. We currently have no one with the quicks to match up there (maybe KJ, but for whatever reason he can't translate his speed into defense so far). Sure teams may try to post him up at times, but that's where team defensive principals come into play.
