Just curious: as he has already graduated, wouldn't it also be an option to head to CU this year and automatically redshirt? He can learn the system and put on the weight under the coaches' watch.
Or does heading to a prep school give him an option to also redshirt in 2019?

It does. Would give hime two years to develop before he hits the floor as well as give him a little separation from Zegarowski if he does redshirt once he gets to Creighton.
He could still enroll at a D-I school if he wants to at this point, but there's no reason for him to do it.

Wow. Great to make an offer to a local kid with high skill and character. Sounds like prep school is a solid idea - just like it was for KT!
Go Jays!

I hope Shereef lets his dream come true and becomes a Jay. Would love to see him in CU Blue. Go Jays!

I am so happy for this young man. After watching him almost every game over the last 4 years, I am excited to continue watching him at Creighton. My wife is even more excited than I am as she always likes to hug Shereef after games. Shereef is going to be successful with his future moving forward. Even as a freshman at Burke, I noticed he was special.
Congrats Shereef.

It did not seem like he was going to make a decision anytime soon on 1620 but I did not hear the end of the interview before I had to go.

That would be strange, I'd expect him to commit soon.

Here's the full interview. Kind of a strange conversation.

I stand corrected after listening to the end of the interview. He said he wanted to make a decision "soon" and I thought he said he was going to at least take the weekend to think.
