Creighton is not included in Watt's trimming of his list to 8 schools.

Bumping this thread as he is in the transfer portal, is said to be considering Creighton, and that the decision will be made in the near future.

With rumors circulating and hopes high, here are a few of my favorite facts about this young man.

- In HS, on January 26, 2019, he scored a career-high 64 points, with 15 three-pointers. That seems good.
- 79% FT shooter at Michigan State. I have PTSD from the past few seasons at the FT line, even though Christian Bishop hit the two most important ones in program history. (Arthur Kaluma appears to be a solid FT shooter too.)
- Former Top 40 recruit.

I really liked this write-up by Michigan State when he committed there:

Watts is the most intriguing recruit to arrive at MSU since Miles Bridges. The Spartans haven’t had a guard with this sort of ability to score and shoot off the bounce in a long time. He’ll still just be a freshman. But he’s a top-30 recruit with some scary abilities. He’ll play. The question is how much and at what position. He’s a combo guard who’s capable of running the point.

Some similarities to Marcus Foster's journey (also some obvious differences). Fingers are crossed.

Watts is a scorer, if he comes hopefully he can be the guy who can take it to the rim and score or distribute on a young team. His shooting numbers are not good at all (except the FT shooting) but if anyone can devise schemes to get you high percentage looks its Coach Mac.

Goodman tweeting what we're hearing, as well -- Watts is not going to be coming to CU. He's going to transfer to Mississippi State.

Not surprising but darn. Hopefully we land Alexander now. What's the feeling on that between us, BC, and Wichita?
Though I wouldn't say that it's nearly as bad as not having stretch 4 for multiple seasons on end, we could definitely use another scoring wing to compete with AoC and Jones.

Out of high school Top 100 AOC, Top 100 Jones, Top 70 Rati (Jays highest rated recruit in Internet era before this year) and Top 150 Chrisofilis. The off guard spot is not a weakness.
