Sam Froling may be required to sit out, as his brother did at Marquette. There is a requirement to be in the US for a year in order to qualify. Normally a kid will enroll at a US prep school and spend a year to meet the requirement. Not certain of the particulars in Sam's case, but sitting out will be a factor.

Sam's brother went to SMU and played a sem. He trans. to Marquette thats why he had to sit out.

I've never heard of such a rule. Frankly, I don't think it exists.

That's not a thing. St. Mary's had more Aussies than I can remember a few years ago, and I'm fairly certain they came right over to play.
