I am guessing that yankeejay is referring to Preston Murphy Jr. So, the coaches aren't offering Chucky because of Murphy? That is what I am getting out of this cryptic conversation.

"Personal bias may be obscuring objectivity"?

In a cookie factory somewhere in Shanghai, there's an exhausted little kid who just wants to go home after his 12-hour shift, but the cruel cookie overlords keep telling him he must write one more fortune before he can leave, and it better be good. If only we could somehow get this to him.

Must be referencing PMurph and his son. Always fun to cast dispersions on the net without any proof.

Well done son-of-the-Internet-age.

Yankeefan is not completely off base or out of line. The facts are that there were 3 (before drock left) assistants with kids all around the same age as chucky. We all know as parents that often times we have inflated views of our kids ability. Intentional or not that is a reality. I was sitting a couple seats away from PMurph at westside when chucky completely dominated the game and had 40. There is absolutely no comparison between the 2. One of them was the best player on the state runner up as a freshman and the other transferred at semester. Nothing against Preston Murphy JR because he is going to be a good player. Chucky is special.
I believe what yankeefan is trying to say is that pmurph should have immediately told McDermott after that game against westside that he should probably at least get out and watch chucky play. That still has not happened to this point. And yes Nebraska will be offering early next week.

Considering Yankeefan and Jayfan35 both only have one post to their name, they’re trolls. Maybe even people close to Chucky, or that are fans of his. If Preston Murphy didn’t wanna recruit Hepburn because he thinks it could get in the way of his sons recruitment, he shouldn’t be coaching at CU. But that’s not the case and this is stupid

FWIW, I'm all in on Chucky. I hope he ends up a Jay.

Chucky plays for Team Factory 15U this spring/summer and they play against other 15U teams. My grandson plays on the same team and they have won 4 straight tournaments and are undefeated. I believe they are ranked 12th in the nation (15U) after beating the 9th ranked team recently.

I guess this is how recruiting goes, but I find it a little odd that this discussion is becoming contentious over some serious hypotheticals, conjecture and two kids who are what? 15 years old?

Nebraska offered Aguek Arop after his freshman season. Creighton and Nebraska offered Ed Chang after his sophomore season. How'd that work out for both teams?

Chucky just finished his freshman year of high school. He's a ways from making any kind of decision. I actually bumped into him at a Creighton game this year. The coaches very much know who he is and that he's the best player in the class. According to 247, it looks like Creighton has only offered 10 players in the 2020 class and 1 in the 2021 class. Have patience.
