Is looking at a D2 transfer insane? Does that happen much for a major conference team?

Chandler Vaudin is looking to make the jump. #1 D2 transfer prospect. Averaged 15.5 points. 9.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.3 steals. Shot 56% from the field as a 6’7” point guard. His stats, height and position make him sound like a unicorn, but is that meaningless since he’s D2?

Shot less than one 3-pt FG attempt per game, so he won’t be letting it fly.

Yes, D2 stats are meaningless.

C'mon Flynn's Mooney (would be a great horse). Flynn and Mooney would be nice.

Looks like this year is a big ass bust in the transfer market, a year we really needed at least one who could come in and play right away. If Khyri decides to leave, which seems very likely, I think we are looking at 6-8 position in the BE and no NCAA or NIT. I think we should turn down going to any of the lesser tournaments. We may finish a little over .500 overall but that is due to a weak sauce out of conference schedule. I do hope we do better with 2019 recruits than what currently appears. From my viewpoint it does not look like we are likely to get any 4 star recruits in 2019. I hope the staff can get their recruiting mojo back.

Damn Alpha you really have some extreme if, then's... If we don't get a transfer, then the sky has already fallen on the Jays. Fortunately things don't work that way and our guys will get a transfer or 2. But even if we don't we've got enough talent and firepower to stay in the top half of the Big East. Remember that CU isn't the only team to lose starters and reliable backups. Most of our troops will have improved come next season.

I haven't started by summer research yet, but I can almost guarantee that my ridiculous predictions in August will be right around "gtmo-normal". Take a few deep breaths, take a swig of Smirnoff, Bombay, or other gtmo approved Gin and blue juice, relax and go with the process. We'll get our player(s). ;)

From KC Star:

Florida State center Ike Obiagu, a 7-foot, 240-pound freshman from Nigeria, has announced plans to transfer to a yet-to-be-determined school. He averaged 2.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 10.7 minutes per game (14 starts) last season. He had 71 blocked shots, including 25 in the final eight games. He hit 58 percent of his shots for (23-12) FSU.

Obiagu was ranked No. 74 in the recruiting Class of 2017 by Rivals.com during his senior year at Greenforest Christian Academy in Decatur, Ga.

(No idea if he's a target, but he's on the market.)

So we haven't landed our top transfers so far. Who is still left on the radar that we have a chance with? Getting a little discouraging.
