2020 G Nate Santos (Offered)

Loooooong combo guard was offered by Creighton last week. Excellent shooter. Brother is headed to Missouri, poised to become a bigtime target this summer.

He reclassified to 2021, transferred to Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut, and then tore his ACL in January 2019. He has received offers from Georgetown and Xavier (among others) since his return.

Here is a story from this spring about him:

CU seemingly no longer pursuing. 247 had him for a long time as a warm high interest recruit for the Jays. Still not sold on that site’s accuracy.

I don’t have a 247 membership but Santos seems to be getting closer to a decision and has three schools listed as warm on the site. Not Creighton.

I didn't realize we've been in on Nate for 2 1/2 years. He would be a nice addition to 2021 class with his length at the guard position.

Agreed. That type of length on the perimeter would pose problems for opponents.

Nice smooth offensive game. Looks like Jays still have nice options available for 2021.

The more I dig in here, the more Santos’ scenario looks like Christofilis. Top 100 kid early in high school, injury knocks him down, recruiting services drop him like a stone.

May be steal #2 of the 2021 class. Hmmmm .....

Miller is 100% our priority for the 4. Santos would be a good get, but he's definitely our backup plan if we don't land Miller.
