Things heating up for Kerwin.. taking/took officials to Vandy and Cal. He’s one of the best shooters in the country and I think he’s a huge priority, he would greatly help with the void that TSA and Mitch will leave after 2021

Walton and Kalkbrenner would make this a huge class already.

I feel like we're in the running, but it's hard to get a sense of where this is going with the big names who've offered, and then the visits to Cal and visits from Vandy

My sense is UNC is now out of the picture so atleast we arent going against any bluebloods at the moment...

Kerwin Walton will take official visits in each of the next two weekends & then make a decision in late November or early December. Meanwhile, he says Minnesota is in “good standing” in his recruitment. ⁦

Kerwin was removed from UNC's "offer page" on the Tar Heels recruiting page over the weekend, so your sense appears to have been correct.

If you gauge how people are viewing his recruitment nationally, it doesn't feel like Creighton is a leading contender. I hope I'm wrong.

No one nationally thought Creighton was a contender for Kalkbrenner either until like the last week.

Absolutely. The vibe was similar for Kalkbrenner in that the Jays were casually mentioned, but no one really seemed to think he'd end up in Omaha. I hope the same thing happens here. It's just a little more comforting when we are listed as one of the favorites, like Chucky Hepburn, Zach Harvey, Lok Wur, Matt Mooney, Joe Cremo, Dejon Jarreau and others. We all know how well being a favorite has gone for us. Wait, what just happened?

A class centered around Walton and Kalkbrenner would even impress the naysayers. (You would hope)

Ouch, that sucks. Hopefully we can prioritize another PF/C for next year.
