This conspiracy theory is so weird to me.

Patton, Thomas, Ballock, Alexander, and Zegarowski all finished ranked higher than what they were at the time they signed with the jays. Epperson dropped all of one spot, Bishop 5 and Kalkbrenner 10. There just isn't a sign with Creighton ranking drop.

Nothing like rebutting unsubstantiated opinion with unsubstantiated opinion!

Huh?

I was responding to someone who has the opinion that recruiting services drop players in their rankings for committing to Creighton. 247 has ranking history available. 5/8 rose after their commitment date.

I was a bit worried down the stretch, but it's a very nice class

Center who is 87th in the country
PG who is 66th
Overseas commit who's listed at 155th

and a transfer who was 68th.

that's a heckuva class by almost any measure

Kind of funny that so many fans were freaking out about Creighton "striking out" so much this cycle only to have the staff land a higher-ranked recruit than basically everyone else they looked at. Also, the coaches pretty clearly had been working on Rati for quite a while, we just didn't hear about it.

pretty cool that we got a top 25 'hole filling' class - next year is a foundational class - definitely need that one to be stacked

it'll be interesting to see how many of these guys stick around - it's always a concern with the Euro dudes - and a guy like Kalk will quickly be on the NBA radar quickly (dudes with his size and skill set always are).

Of course - Alex is only a one year - so we know what we have there

crazy how much everything has changed in the last few years with grad transfer and transferring and proliferation of Euro kids as it reflects on rosters and turnover.

Interesting how close to the vest things have been with recruiting this offseason. Don't recall seeing much at all being said out there with our involvement of any of the 3 signees prior to their commitment.

Our highest class ever, at 24, is the third best in the Big East, and fourth best if you include UCONN. Marquette at 17, UCONN at 18, X at 21. Great league!

Usually class rankings don't mean much in basketball. You have to sign a high number of commits which means you have gaps in your scholarship distribution or you're signing a bunch of one and dones year after year.

Creighton's recruiting class of 3 has an average score of 95.35 according to 247sports.
Only 12 teams that signed 3 or more players have an average higher than CU's average score.
Only 16 teams that signed 2 or more players have an average higher than CU's average score.
You could actually say CU's class is no worst than #17 using averages.
