No way winter sports athletes get an extra year. A third of them were already done before the shut down. The others had played 95% to 99% of their season.

That would be a stupid on steroids decision by the NCAA.

Yeah that wouldn’t be fair to the 4 classes behind them.

Yeah there's no way it'll happen. Still it's so hard to think of what might've been with the Big East tourney having Myles Powell, Kamar Baldwin, Markus Howard battling it out and then also cheering for those guys in the NCAAs. Gotta be a brutal way to end a career.

Didn’t know Gage was grad transferring from DePaul. Didn’t know Green was leaving UNL. I bet Freeeed only ends up with a handful of last year’s players still around.

I'm thinking Fred showed him the door. I read in OWH that even with Green transferring and Cam going pro, UNL is at 13 schollies for next year. Green's performance should be a warning flag to those in Sker land jumping up and down about Teddy Allen coming there. Green was a JUCO all-American at the same JC (I think he was at the same one), and he was not near as good when playing against Big Ten talent.

Not the best comparison, IMO. Teddy Allen showed he can play at this level at West Virginia and Wichita.

With Burke, Mack and Green gone....
UNL
7 current players on 'ship
4 'Ship commits
**Easley was given 'ship earlier in season, suspect he'll return to walkon soon, if he hasn't already
***The OWH might have been counting the two football players who played game in B1G tournament

Nebraska is at 13 scholarships after Green's departure, and that includes both Mack and Burke who won't likely be back. Easley's scholarship was for one semester. I'd expect Ouedraogo and Thorbjarnarson to return along with the three sit-out guys. Cross and Arop up in the air. They have two transfer and two JUCO commits.

I would think that recruiting without contact is going to be a challenge as well. Mac alluded to that in his 1620 interview other day about offering scholly's to kids who wont potentially ever see the campus/facilities prior to commitment. I would think that one of the selling points for NU right now is the facilities as saying "Hey, we almost won a game after January," doesn't rock the boat for kids these days. But who knows.
