Also the subject of my deep hatred for Helmet Head Alford. I’ve enjoyed watching his coaching career flame out. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

If you look up “asshole” in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Stevie.

A few years old but an interview here. He speaks English well so there won’t be a communication issue.

And a brand new scout tape

This scout tape reminds me of average high school basketball players in suburban America where the top sports are tennis and golf. I think the term “project” is being extremely generous.

Definitely don’t want him chucking up many/any 3s.

I do like his scrappiness and ability to tip and keep alive rebounds that he can’t quite reach. The GREATEST at doing this to ever play basketball was a Bluejay - Paul Silas. I really loved how he could rebound even though often shorter than the other bigs on the floor. 21 boards per game for a CAREER. What the heck is that??!!! :)

A truly golden age of basketball. Oscar Robertson still floors me, averaging 33 pets and 15 boards career at Cincy

I think he shows the potential to be better all around than Kelvin Jones! Certainly less awkward and quicker.

Say what you want but I would have loved to see Kelvin have another year to develope with the help of our staff. He played quite a few solid minutes late on the year.

Kelvin was far from awkward and he helped us tremendously down the stretch.

Agree. Wish Mac and Merf had more time to work with Kelvin.

One positive thing is that we had him on campus and he likely played with the team, so we have a real sense of where he's at (not where the crazy highlights video shows, I'm guessing).
