We really, really needed some news like this. Big picture, surrounding a legit, stud potential point guard, who is a facilitator, like Ryan Nembhard with dead-eye shooters Mason Miller and John Christofilis makes up a great foundation for a solid roster. It seems to me that the transfer focus needs to be on bucket-getters, athletic wings and a big (or two).

Great news. Exciting to hear. With this young core including Rati and Kalk, we should have a great foundation for the next 2-4 years.

Spud Webb's vertical leap was 42"
Spud Webb won the NBA slam dunk contest.
Spud Webb was 5'6"
Mason Miller is 6'9".

Didn't think you'd have some Mason Miller/Spud Webb comps today, did ya?

Maybe I need to be more excited about this upcoming season. I chalked it up as a transition year, but the buzz around Nembhard, Christofilis's shooting and now Mason putting in the work can't be ignored. Rati could end up being as impactful as any of them. Who knows what the Jays have in Modestas? Finally, CU has a strong track record of its bigs (Kalk) improving significantly year-to-year, and Kalk has the highest floor AND ceiling of any of them. Do we know if Kalkbrenner approves of being called Kalk? We should probably ask him.

Uh oh. Don't look now, but sunshine pumping mode may be activated soon.

My personal wish list is to hit the transfer market for one more scorer - Hawkins seems ideal - and an Andre the Giant-style banger. But I trust the coaches/process.
