6'8 wing from Mississippi. He was the MVP in the state title game in MS, which is 6A.

He’s in the 2022 thread but since the Jays are in his final cut we should build on his previous thread, eh?

Visiting next month. I guess I prefer a local kid for being a local kid but Mac has now said he wants a guard, bigger wing and a center with his three rides. #1 is checked. Hamilton is fine by me if Traut decides on Virginia or wherever besides the Jays (again, would prefer another local kid to run with Reef carrying the local flag).

He’s supposed to be here tomorrow. I wonder if this is happening. I’m thinking the Jays are done and maybe REALLY done. As things stand in the scholie matrix the Jays have no rides for 2023 unless they hold the last 2022 ride over.

Devin Davis, Sami Osmani and/or Zander Yates being able to contribute may have a bearing on whether CU can take the chance of going into the season after this one with only 11 scholarship players.

From what I understand the visit is cancelled.

I am probably wrong but if CU held over the 2022 scholarship for 2023 would they have two scholarships that year? Don’t they get back the scholarship from the NCAA penalty in 2023? They lost a scholarship for this year and 2022?

Ah ha, I think you’re right. That leaves options and, with inevitable transfers, who knows where things will be in 12 months.

One last thought. Shereef Mitchel is starting his junior year ( Creighton website lists him as a sophomore). In 2022 he will be a senior. In 2023 he can play his extra “covid” year. That would make another scholarship available because your extra year does not count against the scholarship limit?
