I didn't see Kalkbrenner play at the same age, but I saw Rock play last summer before anybody had even offered and was like e'Who the heck is this kid?" Seeing some of his highlights from this spring already and I'd say he's already made significant strides even from where he s last summer. Definitely some similarities there. I like him quite a bit.
There's still a lot of developing to be done (and a lot of time for things to change) prior to the end of his HS senior year, but his game strikes me as more similar to Epperson's (*right now*) than Kalkbrenner's.
