No Michigan is interesting

Michigan gets a 6’3 transfer from FAU today. They are lousy with guards now.

while it appears we are looking to add athletes and guys who can create, we are also looking at a lot of smaller guys as well. It certainly sounds like Ashworth is going to be back (these days you never know, though), but I find the size of some of these guys to be interesting. While we give up something in height, if Trey is back maybe we end up with a 3 guard lineup more often or if he isn't back we have a smaller guard with Davis and Johnson off the bench to play in the backcourt also

Lots of moving parts, but I think likely shows that Mac and the coaches aren't afraid to go into the year with 2 smaller guards, provided they are the right guys

Not sure what they are thinking about Hawkins, but he would mean a bigger change in the backcourt as he isn't a direct replacement for Trey and would be the primary PG, IMO

Don't think Hawkins is a depth guy with that list of schools.

you're right - I didn't choose my words very accurately there -- I meant to say he's not a direct replacement for Trey. He isn't a scorer and is much more of a distributor, so we'd be flipping the backcourt and putting Ashworth more at the 2, although I think Hawkins would be getting a lot more shot opportunities with us (his usage dropped a great deal going from Howard to MN)
