With D-rock seeing some early success, I wonder if Mac would ever consider hosting Drake next season. A lot of coaches throw their former assistants bones when they go to mid-majors.

I always envisioned Drake being the first MVC team we play since leaving. Just due to proximity. Voluntarily that is, not an exempt tournament or postseason.

wish it was a little closer to the strip than the Orleans - but fond memories of the last time we were in this one.

Never been to the Orleans, for those that have, is it worth it to stay there with the games being there or would you stay somewhere on the strip?

Went to Vegas 20 years ago. It was a vile place with cheap blackjack tables, cheap hotels, cheap booze and cheap food. Had some fun and left with more money than when I arrived.

Went a few years back. It is a vile place with $20 minimum or more blackjack tables, expensive hotels, expensive booze and expensive food.

Pass.

I would not - Gaughan offered up free rooms to folks in the past at south pointe as was posted above - but - curious if that will happen again since I believe he has passed since our last Vegas tourney.

Orleans is pretty removed from everything else. If you want to 'do Vegas' - I'd stay on the strip and hit downtown and some of the other hotels/casinos up and down. last time my crew got a suite at Caesar's and had a good time. it was perfect - we had a common area to hang out and watch football and have some drinks - and then two adjoining rooms - perfect set up so you didn't have to be in the casinos or out the whole time.

if you stay at the orleans you're probably about a $20+ one way cab/Uber from any other action
