Baylor is searching for a game that same Nov 9/10 weekend. I wonder if they'd be amenable to a game?

Only if they can bring the live bear Pierre Jackson got to pet on his recruiting visit. Heck, after all their defections, etc., the bear might have to suit up. Still, I'd give the edge to Gregory in that low post battle.

With the ESPN Pre-Season Poll as a guide...

Of the few teams above who are looking for a game in our time window,
only Baylor or Arizona are currently in the pre-season polls.

Neither Temple nor NMexico are in the ESPN pre-season poll.
If coach is looking for a Top 75 rpi team. Baylor may be our best shot?

In Piv's chat on Friday it appears the opening on the schedule was not due to the Loyola-Chicago game being pushed to 2014-15, but due to a game with Alcorn State that was moved to '13-14. That is interesting as it appears there was never any intent to play the Loyola game next season and that it was decided well in advance that it was pushed to the '14-15 season since the Alcorn St. game was already scheduled.

That being said, it looks like the '13-14 season only has a couple games left to be scheduled as well based on the schedule so far.

Anaheim Classic (San Diego State, Marquette known so far)
@ St. Joe's
@ Long Beach State
California
Nebraska
Tulsa
Alcorn State

The chat also told us that Kansas basically laughed in our face when we asked for a game. Duh. Could someone clue in Dirk this happens all the time please? I for one am sick of the CU needs to change ITS scheduling philosphy. As if when Creighton calls and a BCS type says no its some how our fault. How about an article that the BCSers need to change their philosphy? Where is the uproar about their crappy nonconf. schedules? Take a look at the BCSers with open slots and do some research on why its allowed for them to be worried about an easy win and making money. There are numerous teams that have not played ANY true road games they weren't forced to play for years. They also have BCS money but they can't schedule CU for money reasons. They want a name team. Creighton will be preseason top 20 and have a consensus All American. Yet Creighton who is dwarfed by BCSers in money is the one that should step it up and not worry about money and pick up the phone to be laughed at time and again which they do. Bullshit. How about Dirk call some of these teams and be as up front with his questions to them? He won't. Instead of Dirk telling Creighton what he thinks they sould do(not knowing they already have), how about him tellling some BCSers to man up and put us on their schedule? He won't. It gets old.

To the extent it was ever real, appears dead/dormant for now.

... and yet today's OWH has two more front-sports page stories, including Dirk AGAIN saying we need to schedule Kansas or somebody like them, and Shatel asking how the Jays can "stay relevant."

Why are all the Jays stories being written by the Husker writers? Where is Pivovar?
